As we kick off 2026, Atlassian has announced updates to its Data Center (DC) pricing, effective February 2026.
This comes amid the company's ongoing shift toward a cloud-first strategy, while still supporting self-managed deployments for customers with specific needs.
If you're a DC user, partner, or just curious about enterprise software pricing trends, this blog breaks down the key changes, timelines, and implications. Let's dive in.

The price increases target core Data Center products, reflecting Atlassian's investments in enterprise-grade features like enhanced security, scalability, and migration tools.
Jira Data Center: 15% increase
Confluence Data Center: 15% increase
Jira Service Management Data Center: 15% increase
These flat increases apply across all tiers and are justified by ongoing enhancements, such as OpenSearch support for faster searches, service accounts for auditable automation, instance optimization tools, and platform releases (e.g., Jira 11.2, Confluence 10.1).
For customers on historical Advantaged plans (designed to gradually align with list prices):
Jira Data Center: Increases of 18-40% (depending on the plan).
All Advantaged plans will now reach standard list pricing, creating a unified structure for all Data Center products.
If your subscriptions show varying percentage hikes: Standard products get the 15% bump, while Advantaged Jira plans see higher adjustments to close the gap.
Academic and Community Discounts: These remain unchanged from last year for Data Center.
Marketplace Apps: Pricing is set by developers, who may or may not follow Atlassian's lead. Concessions or discounts are at their discretion—direct questions to the app's contact info on the Atlassian Marketplace.
Enterprise License Agreements (ELAs/HELAs): Not impacted; no price changes or communications for these customers.
Custom Multi-Year Contracts: If active, your invoice stays the same unless you make new purchases. Renewals or upgrades after February 17 will use new pricing.
Evaluations: Current list prices apply upon expiry; Atlassian encourages migrating to Cloud instead.
